Benefiting You!

 As we embark on the official start of summer for most, we often wonder what we will do during this time and we often want to make sure that we are doing Quote: "FUN" things. Whether you admit it or not, you often will probably find yourself looking online at various events that you want to go to, or new adventures that you are interested in and that is great to do and think about. 

Finding out what motivates you to be a better person and learning new things during the summer months is great to do and ultimatly, motiviating yourself in caring about your own well-being is crucial for postitive self development. Take reading for instance, not many people really enjoy reading as some find it boring, not interesting or my favorite line "I already read enough when I am looking at my emails". The previous quote might be true and I understand if it is valid, but reading actually helps mend the mind, sooths your soul and helps wind down anxiety. 

When choosing a good book, follow these steps: 

  • Figure out what you are interested in and what you would want to read. 
  •  Never just read a book (just becasue)
  • Take appropriate breaks when reading for a long period of time
  • Do not have your phone near you when you are reading
  • Read something mindful and insightful that benefits "YOU"
  • Most of all, enjoy the time relaxing, taking a break from a electronic device screen and keep motivated/dedicated to reading (Do not say to yourself, I will just take a bit of a break for an hour and then I will return to the chapter)
  • Once you start a book, finish it in a adequate time 
Obviously, reading a good book that benefits you is not the only thing that you can do to better yourself. Other ways to beneift yourself for the better may include, but is not limited to: 
  • Going For A Walk in a conservation park/trail (Running and Hiking help as well)
  • Playing A Team Sport
  • Socialize with your friends (Not just on social media)
  • Playing a board game
  • Writing in a daily journal
  • Listening to music
  • Taking periodical breaks from Working your job
  • Meditation - Deep Breathing Exercises
  • Hang around like minded individuals like yourself 
  • Getting an adequate amount of Sleep, going to bed early and waking up early to start your day
  • Eating Healthier - A well balanced diet is crucial for postitive self development
  • Take Vitamins
In life, you have to find what motivates you to bring out the best of yourself while taking time for yourself as well. Many people do not do this and it leads to Mental Negativity, Heightened Anxiety, Loss Of Appetite, A Non Socialiable Tendencey, Creating A Alone Normalcy Is In Fact Ok, Forgetfulness, Disorganizational Tendencys and many other leads. 

So, you might ask at this point, where do I start? and their is no real starting point when it comes to what area you should focus on first and foremost. "The best part of this is that it all starts with you and whatever area you chose to start at first, is the best way to start". We each know ourselves better than anyone else and we figure that finding guidence from others is key to success. This is great to do, but the real person that we have been with for our whole life is "yourself"

So I ask you this question, what are you waiting for and what is holding you back from bettering the best person you can "YOU"
