2024, a year of reflection.

When I ask you to describe what 2024 meant to you, what do you think of? Do you think of the personal growth/development that you have had, the problems that you have conquered? or are you just happy that you got through the year in one piece? Yes, you might have had bumps along the way, but do you feel proud of yourself knowing that you have made it through another year.  The one word I think of when I think of the past year is "progress". The progress that has been made in every facet of life, whether it is in your career path, social life, family life or maybe it was a personal goal that you wanted to achieve, like reading a certain amount of books within the year, reconnecting with someone that you haven't connected with in a while or trying to help a family member through something that they are going through.  In 2024, we have endured a lot of unknown situations that we have had to maneuver about, each situation has helped to shape us into the people we were throug...

Inflation, Spending Habits and Your Positive Initiative

Do you ever wonder how much inflation has impacted our spending habits and our overall society? It is often a question that I have pondered when going out in about and observing the prices at stores and peoples spending habits.  I really think about my own spending habits and wonder where I can save money in different avenues of my life while still maintaining a social life but I realize that life costs money and if I want to live, I must spend a bit to fulfill some sort of happiness.  The pandemic along with different life events have shaped the Canadian economy for years to come and this will be our new normal but it isn't all bad some will say. We are living, have a roof over our heads and can get to the next day without having to think about what could be or what if something happens.  Some people are not as fortunate and it's definitely tough out there for a lot of people, so be courteous of others and spread a smile or 2 along the way this holiday season. CONTRAST BETWEEN SPORTS AND INFLATION

With every facet of your life costing more and more and trying to balance everything like a teeter totter, the one area that is often overlooked is the inflation cost of sports . Working in a industry that is promoting sports for the bettermint of ones health and well-being and being an avid soccer player myself even if it is just house league adult soccer , my mind often shifts to the fact that some people can't afford to play as a result of the rising impact on inflation in sports and it pains me to see this.  Yes, we have funding programs for kids that want to participate in sports but we have to make concrete solutions not temporary fixes and we have to come up with solutions fast. The solution on inflation the cost of a program going up is not clear to navigate and just becasue the cost of something gets in the way of what a child might love to do everyday, doesn't make it right that they cannot play the sport they love. Yes, life is cruel and society is pressing, but so...

Take The Time!

We often do not take the time that is needed to heal ourselves from the hustle and bustle that life throws at us. In fact, we say that we embrace the challenge but we often do not know what that is doing to our mental/overall well being.  When you are young, you think you can go forever and although that may seem true to most, it is not at all the case. I am a strong believer in the saying "age is just a number" because in hindsight, it is just a numerical value you are given everyday at your birth that keeps going up and up.  How you feel inside and your overall spirit really determines how you really feel. What you put into your body that is like a machine, how you take care of yourself and what you spend your downtime on really is the determination/deciding factor on how you are going to feel. Yes, we all have challenges in life and in situations that we are put in or get put in, but if we remind ourselves to just live everyday like it is our last, we will all have a ...

Benefiting You!

As we embark on the official start of summer for most, we often wonder what we will do during this time and we often want to make sure that we are doing Quote: " FUN" things. Whether you admit it or not, you often will probably find yourself looking online at various events that you want to go to, or new adventures that you are interested in and that is great to do and think about.  Finding out what motivates you to be a better person and learning new things during the summer months is great to do and ultimatly, motiviating yourself in caring about your own well-being is crucial for postitive self development . Take reading for instance, not many people really enjoy reading as some find it boring, not interesting or my favorite line "I already read enough when I am looking at my emails" . The previous quote might be true and I understand if it is valid, but reading actually helps mend the mind, sooths your soul and helps wind down anxiety.  When choosing a good boo...

Life Changes

Life has a way of changing, whether it is a good change or a bad change. Sometimes change is needed to hit the reset button in your life even if it is just temporary change in the interm. Whether it is spending more time on your personal life, refiguring a work balance or trying to navigate taking care of everryone around you.  As we get older and more into our mature selves, we learn, grow, make mistakes and hopefully learn from them and we solve our own personal problems which ultimatly create solutions for the next go around. You have to do things that make you enjoy the direction that you are travelling towards and what will help achieve your goals. Creating a goal chart helps you focus on what you are trying to achieve and will boost your overall moral about yourself and everything that is around you.  A persons lifecycle is not clear cut or a smooth path just like a straight line. Their are peaks, valleys and a lot of in between that happen and you just have to emb...

Living In The Moment.

We often wonder why when we are younger, we want to become an adult and want to grow up fast. As we get older we often then tell ourselves "oh I wish I could turn back time and be young for just one day" or "It would mean so much for me if I could turn back the clock and spend time in my younger self".  It is like we are content with getting older, more responsibility, flourishing in our careers, in life in general but we do not like the physical fact that we are getting older. It is true that age is just a number and I have always lived by that notion but you are also as youthful as your heart desires.  Living in the moment is not done enough and life is like a rat race to get to the other end without falling flat on your face but it doesn't have to be this way. We are all creatures to our own demise and live very diffrently than one another but it is important to just slow down and enjoy life little moments and victories rather then trying to stimulate yourse...
